I'm 14 weeks along and due March 7th.
Crazy.
When we wanted to have a baby, it took 8 months for us to get pregnant with Ethan. We thought it would take a while to get pregnant again. So, we started trying as soon as we were ready. The first month of trying we were pregnant. You might say we knew what we were doing this time or some foolishness like that, but I really think it was grace. Grace from Jesus not to have to endure infertility- or at least the thoughts of it- for such a long time. We are so thankful to be able to have another child and in a timing that we can handle. Thank you Lord!
Ethan will turn 2 on February 16, and then a few weeks later we will have a new baby. Is this crazy? A newborn and a 2 year old. Most likely, but it's been done before and I think I can weather the crazy times. It helps knowing what comes in the future. Babies are so much work, but it gets easier.
I don't have any ultrasound pictures to share with you. Those will come in November. Until then, I'll leave you with a few pictures of our recent family trip to the beach. Soon to be a family of 4. Yikes!
I'm not going to lie, Sadie was 2.5 when Sidney was born, and there are a range of emotions that came over me. As soon as baby #2 comes, Ethan will look so big to you :) It is a handful at first, but of course well worth it. I honestly think the harder part is being pregnant with a two year old ;) Gotta love terrible two's hehe. Congrats to yall!
ReplyDeleteYou'll do fine. Just stay flexible and keep a good sense of humor (harder to do when you're sleep deprived). Ask for help from volunteers frequently. Lower your expectations about laundry, housecleaning, meals, and entertaining. You'll be fine!
