Donations Accepted

My church Portico is hosting a large group of homeless men in December for 2 weeks. I volunteered to make sure all the supplies were gathered. Yikes!

If you would like to donate something- bring it to Portico on Sunday and drop it into the large bin by the worship service doors. If you live far away and would like to mail something :) our church adress is 201 Monticello Ave Charlottesville, VA 22902.

Here is a list of what we need:

1.New Socks
2.New Underwear
3.Gently Used Sweaters
4.Gently Used Coats

We are pushing these items because we hope to get enough to give each person at least one pair of each. PACEM (the group we are working with) requires this for handing any supplies out to guests.

Other things we will need:
-Semi current/ current magazines
-Rolling hanger bar/traveling wardrobe (2)
-Condiments for food- especially hot sauce
-Candy- bars or bags of chewy candy (like skittles) or bags of “fun size” assortments
-Disposable plastic party serving trays (with lids if possible)
-Gloves
-Clothes
-Hangers
-Hotel/travel sized toiletries


Another thing we need is prayer. :)
