I was going through a stack of old mail yesterday and found something very interesting. Sports Illustrated had sent a small card saying that they would stop sending the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and add a regular edition to the subscription that my husband has.
I asked him what the card was. He said he emailed SI and asked them to stop sending him the swimsuit edition. I didn't know you could do that. He said he didn't either but thought he would try. It worked. What a guy!
Whenever we get that edition he has me throw it away for him. He doesn't want any interaction with it. It makes me feel so respected- that he would go so out of his way to not look at other women in a sexual way.Yet another reason why I am so in love with Jason. :) He makes it easy.
This is great :) Also, I loved your last picture! You look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTell him he's not missing anything...i actually (attempted) to read the swimsuit edition last time i got it, and the articles (there were two, each about 1/2 a paragraph) are all about the models; trying to humanize them...as if that weren't ironic. Plus the models are airbrushed and all the blemishes are taken off and they look like rails with boobs. I have seen before and after pictures, and they actually can make the models skinnier with photoshop too. I think i'd rather have an extra issue too, come to think of it...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! What a great man you have. Russ always has me go through his Rolling Stones and cut out anything inappropriate. It is a blessing to be loved by someone who respects both you and the Lord enough to take that stuff seriously.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the sweet boy coming!
I love my son-in-law!
